We’re halfway through the year already, I hope you’ve all been having a great 2019 already. It’s time for another monthly blog post and there is a little bit of a theme going on.
I’m not quite knowledgeable about beauty products, I just really know what I personally use. The one thing that I have a lot of is MAC lipsticks, I have 13. Actually, that’s an unlucky number, maybe I need to buy another one. When I saw my latest lipstick purchase though I knew I needed it because I loved the casing and it was Disney themed. The colour that I bought was the ‘Friend Like Me’ one which is like a baby pink colour, it was the only one not similar to any of the ones I have. It’s definitely my go to lipstick just now.
I didn’t really do many reviews in May, I’ve not really visited any new places recently. However, in May I did attend a review day out in Stirling with fellow Euan’s Guide ambassadors. I did a review on a restaurant called Kilted Kangaroo and cute little independent shop called Tinkerbells Emporium. It sold lots of different trinket items, quote plaques, pictures, etc. The store owner was very friendly and you can find my review of Tinkerbells Emporium here.
I’m loving all of the Disney films that are out at the cinema this year, including Aladdin that came out in May. I was unsure how it was going to compare to the original Aladdin, especially Will Smith as Genie instead of Robin Williams. However, I was not disappointed.
The acting was great, the costumes were beautiful, the scene settings were amazing and I was singing along to every song. Although I loved a new song that they wrote especially for this movie, Speechless. I recommend that you give it a listen, and that you go see Aladdin before it leaves the cinema screen.
Favourite TV Show
It was an end of an era in May as my all-time favourite TV show ended, The Big Bang Theory. For 12 seasons I watched the characters Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Raj, Howard, Bernadette and Amy grow fictionally and the respectable actors. It’s my go to show that I watch if I’m feeling down but, don’t get me wrong I will definitely be binge watching it on Netflix for the forcible future.
Now I’m not going to spoil the final episode incase people haven’t watched it yet but, I would say I’m happy with the way it ended. Don’t get me wrong, I would have loved to have seen more however, I think I would of said that regardless. The ending was very fitting though and I did have a little tear in my eye.
In May I visited Stirling for a Euan’s Guide review day out. It was a great day catching up with fellow ambassadors and exploring Stirling. My friend Rachel came along with my helper Lori and Lori’s son, we wandered around some of the shops and sometimes heading in the wrong direction.
Anyway, we’re nearly finished June already and I’m feeling very far behind with everything. I’ll catch up with you all soon.
